APPMA, the industry's peak body representing the processing and packaging machinery and allied equipment sectors, says its Awards of Excellence provide a platform for industry players to celebrate achievements, foster collaboration, and raise the profile of the sector. 

The program provides an exciting springboard for companies to receive industry wide acknowledgement, validation and recognition.

It is open to all APPMA members and APPEX 2024 Exhibitors, ensuring diverse participation across the industry.

“The program provides an ideal and exciting springboard for companies to receive industry wide acknowledgement, validation and recognition of their leadership, innovations and achievements in the areas of machinery, packaging design, digital integration, sustainability and next-gen personnel development,” said Michael Moran, CEO of APPMA.

“Since 2022, APPMA has very much made the awards around four main points: recognition, celebration, inclusivity and education.” 

Previous winners, including Packaging Design Innovation Award winner GS1 Australia, has expressed its appreciation for the recognition and the opportunities it brought.

Reflecting on the win, Richard Jones from GS1 Australia says the best thing about entering the APPMA Awards of Excellence was getting recognition from a prestigious Australian Association, and also getting the company’s message to the industry. 

Matt Johnson, director and CEO of Trimatt Systems, and winner of the 2022 Australian Machinery Manufacturers’ Award , said, "If you’re a business that provides innovative solutions to the market, I encourage you to enter next year’s Awards." 

Submissions are open from 28 June to October 2023, with finalists being announced in November 2023.

The winners of the APPMA 2024 Awards of Excellence will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner on 13 March, coinciding with the APPEX 2024 Expo, to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre on 12-15 March.
