Meat Industry Day

Wednesday 13th March

Meat Industry Day is an initiative led by the Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) partnering with the Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC) and Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA).

Coming together on Day 2 of APPEX 2024, under the theme 'Collaboration and Commercialisation: Finding Opportunity in the Meat Industry', we’ll examine what the future of the red meat sector looks like, and how can you be a part of it.

Join us for any of the Meat Industry Day sessions at APPEX to hear from leading researchers, businesses and industry bodies to learn about what this economically critical industry needs and how ideas from in and outside the industry can create opportunity. There will be insightful discussion from industry leaders as they consider the intersection between production, processing, packaging and sustainability, updates on industry research and product trials, and the chance to explore how innovation from other sectors can be adapted to the meat industry.

If you are part of the red meat industry or looking for opportunities in red meat R&D, you don’t want to miss this rare chance to understand where this industry is – and could be – going. See below for session summaries and stay tuned as we announce further speakers for Meat Industry Day 2024.
